You Are What You Eat
You can workout in the gym for an hour, run an hour, and do an hour long Richard Simmons 'Sweatin to the Oldies' VHS workout. (I just lost the "under 40" crowd) But if you eat a bunch of junk, you will never progress on your weight loss journey.

We all love to eat, and we should enjoy our food. But it's important to realize that, when working towards weight loss, nutrition is about 80% of the equation. Physical activity is only about 20%.
Years ago, my wife, Amanda, (who gave me permission to post this. I promise. I'm asking her the details right now) started walking about 3 miles a day and did cardio based workout video programs with the intent of losing weight. During this time, she always ate the same types of food, but she never considered calories or macros or any other nutritional factor.
She did this for about 13 years, and remained the same exact weight.
She then learned about volume of fats, carbs and proteins, and how to balance them, and she began to implement a better nutrition plan. At the same time, she began a beginner level resistance training program working out with light weights.
In the first month she lost 12 pounds!
In one month of applying the proper nutrition principles, and doing a different workout, she made more progress than hundreds of miles walking, and hundreds of hours of cardio workouts over 13 years!
Pay Attention
I learned a lot in becoming a Certified Nutritionist, but the most important nutrition lesson would be to always be aware of what's on your plate. If you're going to eat junk food, eat it in moderation. Don't just grab a bag of chips, and go for it. Pour some in a small bowl, and only eat that portion.
Nutrition Program
It always helps to have another set of eyes to keep you accountable, and to make sure your foods are taking you in the right direction. If you're not ready for the workout portion, I have an individual Nutrition plan. I can set you up with a plan just for you, based on your current stats, your nutritional needs, and any other food sensitivities you may have.
